Frequently asked questions

• What is the cancellation policy?

  Rescheduling or cancelling requires at least 24 hours notice. The first cancellation within 24 hours is forgiven, but you may be asked to pre-pay for your next appointment.

• What about matted coats?

  Pets not groomed regularly (every 4-8 weeks) may become matted. Additional fees apply. Severe matting close to skin requires shaving. Less severe matting can be removed by splitting, thinning, and brushing.

• What vaccinations are required?

  Pets over 4 months old must have had their rabies vaccination. Proof should be available in case of a bite.

• What happens if fleas or ticks are found?

  A flea bath ($22 for dogs) and tick removal ($2 per tick) will be performed. Flea baths only kill current fleas; wait a few days before applying flea medication at home.

• What if my pet becomes ill during grooming?

  We will contact you immediately. If unreachable and aid is needed, we will seek veterinary attention using our best discretionary judgment.

• Do you refuse service for aggressive pets?

  Yes, we reserve the right to refuse service or stop a groom if your pet poses a threat due to aggression, health problems, or parasites other than fleas and ticks.
