Frequently asked questions

• Do I need to be home?

  For your dog's first visit, we do require you to be home for a quick meet-and-greet. After that, many clients arrange access so we can groom while they're at work or out.

• How do tips and payments work?

  We accept cash, check (payable to Mobile Pet Spaws), and card (4% card processing fee). Tips go directly to your groomer. They accept Venmo, Cashapp, cash or checks.

• How long does an appointment take?

  Most grooms take about 1.5–3 hours depending on your dog and the services needed. We use a 3-hour arrival window to account for traffic and previous appointments running long.

• What if my dog is matted or aggressive?

  We don't de-mat severely matted coats because it's painful for dogs; in those cases, a shave-down may be necessary. Aggressive behavior or safety concerns may result in a show-up fee if we cannot complete the groom.

• Can I inspect the mobile salon or stay with my pet during the grooming?

  For liability reasons, our insurance carrier prohibits anyone being inside the van except our groomers while grooming is in progress.

• Do you groom older dogs, puppies?

  Yes, we do. Our groomers are professionally trained to provide quality service for both puppies to senior dogs. Puppies must be 4-6 months of age and fully vaccinated at first groom.

• Do you need to hook up to my home for power or water?

  No. Our mobile units are equipped with a commercial generator. We have two separate water tanks and vans equipped with water heaters for warm baths.
