Frequently asked questions
-
Why choose a mobile groomer?
No loading excited pets in car. Pet feels more at home. No crate waiting. No wasted time dropping off/picking up. One-on-one attention. Convenience of service at home.
-
Is all grooming done in the van?
Yes, the van is fully self contained with air-conditioning, heat, fresh warm water, bathtub, grooming table, dryer, and all necessary equipment for complete grooming service.
-
How long does the grooming process take?
Average appointment takes 60-120 minutes. Varies depending on breed, coat condition and length, procedure required, and animal temperament.
-
How often should my pet be groomed?
Generally every 4-6 weeks recommended. Frequency varies per animal based on breed and coat type. Groom before becoming overly dirty or matted.
-
Why is shaving down sometimes more expensive than a hair cut?
Animal may be matted, have thick hair, be excessively dirty, or have other conditions. Shaving matted coats requires extra care and time, and causes wear on clippers/blades.
-
My pet has a lot of mats, is it necessary to shave them out?
Depends on severity. Minor mats can sometimes be worked out. Severe mats can cause skin irritations and hide conditions like hot spots, dermatitis, cuts, scabs, sores.
-
My pet is very old, can you still care for him?
Yes! Senior pets are specialty. No age restrictions. Anti-fatigue table mats, non-slip bath mats, slings available. Pet CPR + First Aid certified, renewed every two years.
